Join Claudia Hallas in a 90 min class fusing vinyasa, yin and restorative poses. We will open the body and build heat in the first hour to prepare for a complete surrender in yin and restorative poses.

“This class is a gratitude and heart opening format for all of us to be thankful for our teachers in whatever way they show up in our lives. This class sequence is in honor of my daughter, Corrina Richards, who created Sweat & Surrender in 2012 and was a teacher at WHY up until her GBM diagnosis September 2018. Corrina has defied all medical odds and is doing well living a full and tumor free life. Corrina was and still is my teacher.”

Claudia has been a fitness professional for over 30 years teaching at a number of gyms and yoga studios in the greater Hartford area. She is a 200 hour Yoga Center Amherst trained teacher, a graduate of the 2009 WHY Power Yoga Teacher Training, and an AFAA certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Claudia’s teaching and personal practice has evolved over the years blending power and vinyasa with restorative and yin. She has trained with a wide variety of yoga teachers – Tias Little, Baron Baptiste, Ana Forest, Cheri Clampett, Rolf Gates, Jonny & Brian Kest, Schulyer Grant, Heather Tiddens, Jill Miller, and Sarah Powers, just to name a few.

When not on the mat, you will most likely find Claudia at the local reservoir hiking with friends or Hugo, Corrina’s mini golden doodle. Since retiring from UConn Law in May 2019 Claudia took on the role of Corrina and David’s personal vegan weekday chef. You may find her vegan cooking and Hugo hiking posts @ IG #claudia_hallas with the tag line “the amateur vegan chef”.
