Slow-Paced Clases

(Great for Beginners)

Gentle Yoga

When you just need to unplug and take a break from your busy life, this is the class for you. This practice links poses to breath in a mindful flow to reduce stress, increase strength, flexibility and support better sleep. You will be led through slow and focused movements in seated, standing, and reclined postures focused on stretching and relaxation. With the support of props and a candlelit room…relax, breathe, and revitalize. This class is room temperature, 72-74.

Gentle & Restorative

This class is a fusion of gentle flow with a restorative ending. A mindful Gentle flow, connecting your breath with movement, will prepare the body for a blissful restorative practice. With the use of props, you will move into quieting the mind and focusing inward allowing the body to rest, rejuvenate, and heal. This practice offers well-being to muscles, joints, bones, and physical & mental health. Soft music and candlelight will enhance this blissful experience. This class is room temperature, 72-74.

Restorative Yoga

Want to relieve fatigue and stress from your busy day …this is it! Let us guide you through 5-6 poses with the support of props aimed to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Poses held for 5-10 minutes or more will also increase flexibility, improve capacity for healing and balance, boost the immune system and enhance mood states. Deeply relax with soft music and candlelight! This class is room temperature of 72-74.

Yin Yoga

The practice of Yin targets deep connective tissues, by holding a posture for 3-5 minutes. It’s slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body. Yin asks you to sit in uncomfortable sensations of both body and mind and use your breath to stay present. Truly a practice that brings it’s benefits into your every day life! This class is room temperature, 72-74.

The benefits of Yin: calms and balances mind and body, reduces stress and anxiety, increases circulation, improves flexibility, releases fascia and improves joint mobility, balances internal organs and improves flow of prana.


Moderate-Flow Classes

All Levels

This multi-level class incorporates different yogic traditions and styles, by teacher, making each class unique. This class moves at a moderate pace linking breath with movement to build heat promoting strength, flexibility, and balance. Options will be offered allowing you to challenge yourself or meet your body where you are. Breath with movement, your way! The perfect intermediate class for all students, some yoga experience is recommended. This class is room temperature, 72-74.

(Intermediate Yogis)

Flow & Let Go

End your day with the perfect class to unwind!

This class is just the right mix (50…50) of an all levels vinyasa flow and a complete relaxing restorative ending. With the use of props, you will move into quieting the mind and focusing inward allowing the body to rest, rejuvenate, and heal. This class is room temperature, 72-74.


Fast-Paced Classes

(Intermediate to Advanced)

Level UP

A moderate to fast-paced, energetic flow linking breath with movement. Creative and fun sequencing, individual by teacher, will encourage you to explore your edge. Expect core work, balance and challenging postures. This practice will tone your entire body.. building strength, flexibility, stamina, and balance. Through the use of breath with movement, a warm room and held postures, your mind will clear and your body will be invigorated. This class is perfect for the intermediate to advanced yogi looking to Level UP, while exploring their edge! This class is warmed to 75-78 degrees.

At YFTH, our goal is to bring the benefits of yoga to our community in as many ways as possible. With time constraints and physical goals, a custom session may be the perfect match for you. Your 60 minute private or group sessions are customized to your needs, from alignment based learning to an athletic sequence or simply unplugging in a slow gentle flow. Our tranquil space and knowledgeable teachers await you.

Studio Policies

  • Please pre-register for all classes and workshops via the Mindbody app or our website.

  • If you need to cancel your registration, please do so at least 2 hours prior to the class/ 4 hours prior to a workshop start times, to receive credit back to your account. Late cancellations, with less than 2 hrs for a class & 4 hrs for a workshop, will forego credit.

  • If you do not show up for class/workshop and do not cancel, you will forego credit.

  • Things come up in our daily lives, if you arrive late for class, please allow opening meditation to finish before entering room.

  • Our New Student Special runs for 3 “consecutive” weeks.

  • Contracts are billed on a monthly recurring basis, with a 3 month commitment. If you need to cancel your membership after the 3 months, please email us at diane@yogafromtheheartstudio.com

  • To honor yourself, others and the practice leave phones & apple watches in the cubbies silenced!

  • Our minimum age to attend classes/workshops is 14 years or older.

  • The health and safety of you and loved ones is our top priority.

    At this time, masks are optional, studio utilizes advanced Hepa filtration, studio is sanitized after each class.

  • Welcome to YFTH💜

    Check out our New Student Intro Offer and try out as many classes as you would like in 3 weeks. Get familiar with our Class Descriptions and pick a fit for you, maybe gentle one day or power it up on another. And if you need some direction, don’t hesitate to reach out to one of us.

  • You can expect a soothing and clean space with authentic teachers who are knowledgeable, kind and supportive. Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before your class, use a cubby for your personals, check in at reception, then drop your mat and maybe meet a new friend beside you! Make yourself at home, linger with our community after class and enjoy a beverage.

  • Absolutely! Flexibility does not come easy for many of us. Be patient with yourself and know that a regular practice will get you closer and closer to those toes.

  • Most definitely! Yoga can help your body heal from a range of injuries. By using deep breathing, accepting the concept that injury can heal and being willing to experiment to find out what works. Let your teachers know what you’re working with and have your doctor’s approval. All classes will offer modifications as needed.

  • Yessss, with your doctor’s approval! There are many benefits in practicing prenatal yoga…improve your sleep, reduce stress and anxiety, ease nausea and back pain, increase strength, flexibility and endurance needed for childbirth. And learn to use the breath to “still the mind” and help relax the body during delivery.

  • If you’re looking for an athletic approach to yoga, you will surely find it in our Power Vinyasa classes. You will build strength, stamina, flexibility and tone your core and body. These powerful classes give your metabolism a boost, burn calories, make you focused and considerably reduce stress and tension.

  • Bring your authentic self, an open mind and a fun spirit….

    Wear comfortable clothing that you are able to move and stretch in. Avoid baggy tees that will ride up when you forward fold. You will be barefoot in most of our classes to allow you to grip your mat. We encourage you to bring your own mat or you may borrow one of ours. We supply any props needed. If you’re working it out in Power bring some hydration and a towel.

  • The more, the merrier…we would love to see you every day but appreciate that many days are chock-full or your body just needs it’s down time. You will experience many benefits of yoga by practicing 2-3 times a week and if your schedule only allows you one class in a week, do it for YOU and use the benefits from yoga in each of your days… breathing intentionally with energy and vitality.

  • Yes, registration for classes is required to reserve your spot in advance. It also saves you time and gets you on your mat that much faster! Classes can be booked in advance through our website or the Mindbody App.

  • Please try to arrive early for class to respect your fellow students, but if you are running late, enter quietly, log in at the desk and wait for the teacher to signal you to join the class. If you know you need to leave class early for some reason, let your teacher know in advance. If during class, you need to use the restroom, get some water or a break…do what you need “quietly” and rejoin us.

  • We understand life gets busy and plans change… please cancel your registered class, at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled start time, to receive credit back to your YFTH Mindbody account. To do this simply go to your “booked” MB class and click on booked, next to class to un- book.

  • Be sure to be fueled and hydrated, but best to save the meal for after class or have it several hours before class.

  • Classes that are heated from 76-84 increase your pulse rate and metabolism, allowing your blood vessels to become more flexible and making your bod burn calories! Like other yoga classes, you will build muscle tone but will also improve the lymphatic system and flush out toxins.

  • This is perfectly normal and actually a real great thing…yoga was designed so that emotional breakthroughs can occur safely. Anytime you work with the body, you are also working with the mind and the energy system-which is the bridge between body and mind. And since that means working with emotions, emotional breakthroughs can be seen as markers to progress in your personal growth. So throw up your arms & say yayyy!

  • We are located in Building #41 in Avon Village Marketplace: the yellow #41 building beside the UPS Store. You may park in the main lot in spaces facing Rt 44 or in the back of the Village. Please do not park directly in front of another business.

  • If cancellation to your registered workshop/series is necessary, please do so 4 hours prior to the workshop/series start time, to receive credit back to your YFTH Mindbody account.
